Just a quick recap on some of the events from last weekend!  On November 24th Lyons was honored to be hosting Blizzard Blast and to also be a part of “Shop Small Saturday”.

Blizzard Blast is a community favorite event featuring arts & crafts, Santa, light parade, horse drawn wagon rides, fireworks and so much more!!!

“Shop Small Saturday” is an annual event sponsored by American Express to promote local businesses.  As part of “Shop Small Saturday” the Lyons Main Street Program & the Lyons Chamber of Commerce sold cookie cutters filled with fudge. YUMMY!  Imprint Coffee partnered with our fundraiser offering coffee samples and fresh coffee beans for purchase.  The Blizzard Blast committee organized the cookie walk.  Guests  purchase a cookie box , visit all the participating local businesses to receive their favorite holiday cookie.  Maxwell Honey,  a vendor at Newberry’s, was available to answer any “honey” questions or to purchase a honey favorite.  We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all board members, community volunteers and local businesses for all your help and support in bringing shoppers into Lyons on “Shop Small Saturday”.
